If you’ve been furniture shopping recently then you know how expensive furniture has become. Regardless if it’s a couch, recliner, or dining chairs, prices can often be quite expensive. No where is this more true than with a sectional sofa.
When you spend $1,000 or more on a new sofa, protecting it becomes an important point to keep in mind. A sectional sofa slip cover will do jus that. It’s sort of like an insurance policy.
No, you can’t buy an actual insurance policy to protect your furniture from spills and messes, but a slip cover will keep any piece of furniture looking new for years to come.
Sectionals are extremely popular among families with kids. And when you have kids, you’re going to have spills. Things just happen. A sectional sofa slip cover will protect any type of fabric or leather from becoming stained and possibly ruined.
A slip cover will also protect against rips and small tears. This makes your furniture protected a priority.

Your Health Matters
Studies have shown that more and more people are not getting the exercise that they need. The careers that people have these days are less likely to be physical and more likely to be stationary. But, all that sitting can be really problematic for your body. See, your body is built to move and when you don’t move it enough, it becomes lazy as well as loses its tone. That tone is what keeps your body capable of doing all that you ask of it.
Yet, when you are not on your feet or lying in your bed, your body still needs support. The idea is that the home should immediately produce a positive feeling, to wit, the buyer thinks they could live in it. While this concept certainly remains true today, it has also expanded in scope.
Over 70 percent of potential home buyers now use the web to view and filter out homes. This means you need to have your home listed online or you risk missing out on a huge pool of potential buyers. With online listings, however, there is a catch. Buyers who are sitting and clicking through homes expect to see certain things. Instead of a shiny picture of the home from the outside, they now expect to see images of the interior. Read the rest of this entry »

Futon furniture comes from the Japanese mattress that is used as a bed. The futon is a mattress that is about two or more inches thick that is placed on the floor. The mattress is filled with cotton stuffing. During the day the mattress is packed away. The American version of the futon comes from this Japanese concept, except the mattress in on a frame, which can be wood or metal. It appeared in America in the later 1960s and today is considered to be a space saving inexpensive piece of furniture.
Today, the American version of the futon comes in different shapes and sizes. The frames can be from five feet to seven feet wide. The futon is a chair or a sofa during the day and a bed when it is opened up at night. They come as either a bi-fold or a tri-fold. This refers to the number of times the mattress is folded or bent as the bed converts to a sofa. A bi-fold sleeper turns into a sofa by pulling up the back of the wood or metal frame. A tri-fold involves an extra fold and is a little more cumbersome to work with.
